I have tried many natural toothpastes and gels over the past few years but none have ticked the boxes like the Teeth & Gums from Pure & Green Organics.
My favourite thing about this product is the way it works in the mouth when you use it. Although it is gel based, it does not stick together in a lump which I have found with some others. This gel can be evenly dispersed around the mouth and teeth. I also like that it does not leave any chalky residue. The taste of this product is quite strong and I don’t recommend putting it straight on the tongue. However, this teeth and gum gel is very refreshing and leaves the mouth feeling totally clean and fresh.
What also gets a big tick of approval is the ingredients list which is 100% natural with no hidden chemicals and nasties. I really like the use of the aloe vera which I think gives it a great consistency and helps bind all the ingredients.
One thing to remember when using this product is that do not use it like a regular tube of toothpaste. You only need to use a small amount each time and the tube comes with a handy pump which delivers the perfect amount straight on to your toothbrush. It can be used with a normal or electric toothbrush too. The one tube can last for ages which is great because even at $15 per tube it will still be great value for money. And don’t be scared by the look of it when you first use it. Looks can be deceiving and it has a pleasant taste

The R.R.P of this toothpaste is $15 and you can purchase online from their website www.pureandgreenorganics.com.au

This certified organic toothpaste from Riddells Creek in Mint has a great flavour and is gentle to your teeth and gums.
Although this toothpaste contains bicarbonate soda, which can sometimes be too abrasive for some, this organic toothpaste is gentle enough for everyday use. I really like the taste of this toothpaste and it seems to leave my teeth really smooth which I have not experienced before. It contains great ingredients such as organic aloe vera juice, organic olive oil and herbal extract.
My only concern of this toothpaste is that it does require some care to seperate the toothpaste as it tends to stick in little balls in the mouth when you are brushing. Apart from that, I cannot find anything wrong with this great natural product that is made in Australia.

Nowadays, there are many natural toothpaste options out there for purchase and it may be one of the first things you change if you are concerned about fluoride and other chemicals in products that you put in your mouth. The good thing is that there are lots of great options to choose from and it may just come down to personal preference.
Natural toothpastes would be the product that I have trialled the most and this is because taste and texture are are of more importance as compared to products that we may use on our skin.
This review is about the Phyto Shield Herbal Toothpaste and it is a product from New Zealand. This product is chemical-free, contains no added fluoride, contains natural sweetners and contains a natural anti-bacterial and anti-oxidant agent Totarol from the New Zealand Totara tree. Most of the ingredients are plant based and it makes a great option for a natural toothpaste but my favourite thing about this product is the taste and the friendliness to my sensitive gums as it is not bicarbonate soda based which I sometimes find too strong for sensitive gums. The usability of this product is great too and colour and texture are very appealing. Phyto Shield also produce 2 other toothpastes; lemon-myrtle and propolis, and I will look to try them in the future. I am very happy with this toothpaste, and although not Australian, I do need to congratulate our neighbours on a job well done.
Prices may vary between retailers. Average retail price is $6.75 for a 100g tube which is quite reasonable for a product like this.
